My laptop died and I couldn’t go online until I bought a new one, so I’m just now seeing your last couple posts.
Will your insurance cover a second opinion? I highly recommend you get a second (even a third opinion), not because I think the orthopedist you saw is wrong, but because it sucks when an orthopedic surgeon is wrong, and some of them are more well-informed than others.
I’ve never heard the term coxis saltan before, and I’m not a doctor, but when I read your description of the problem, Iliotibial band syndrome is what came to mind. ITB more commonly causes knee symptoms than hip symptoms (I think), but I’m pretty sure physical therapy is the first line of treatment in either case.
If you can’t get a second opinion, at least make sure that running before you’ve completed P.T. won’t make things worse! I know it sucks enough as it is!

YIKES this does not sound fun at all…maybe something like water aerobics or swimming would be a way to train without causing so much strain on your hip?? Just a thought.
hang in there…we will be pulling for you .
